This olive oil soap gets its name from tiny bits of ground lemon peel that look like flecks of gold. The smell can best be described as “standing in the doorway of the Medici Library in Florence overlooking the lemon trees in the garden,” but another good description is “woodsy lemonbalm vetiver leather.”

Note: Lemon peel can have a photosensitizing effect on some people, which means that it may make your skin more sensitive to sun.
