The third and final day of the Buyers’ Market was today, and now we are back home in New York. We met lots of great people and will be carried in about a dozen new stores in the coming months. It was an exciting weekend, and now I am going to celebrate by watching The Closer with my feet up. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and to our new customers!

Hello! Welcome to the blog — I’m your host, Patience Jones. I make soap and sell it on my website, Have Some Patience. I started making soap about 18 months ago. I had left my job as a lawyer to write a book of short stories. I was struggling with writer’s block and feeling like I wanted to make something tangible. I’m a soap addict, I confess, so I started reading up on how to make it and watching online tutorials. After a lot of trial and error, I created some soaps that I really loved. Fate and really supportive friends and family brought the endeavor to where it is today, which is selling it online and in stores. This weekend Have Some Patience will be at the Buyers’ Market of American Craft in Philadelphia, where we hope to meet our retailers in person and get picked up in more stores. Hurrah!
